Allen Iverson Maybe going broke
Watching Allen Iverson(notes) play for his Turkish team on Sunday afternoon was a bit like gawking at some quasi-celebrity working off their community service dues on the side of a highway. You wouldn't click the link unless you felt like it was your job to. I really wanted nothing to do with watching Allen Iverson struggle through a nearly scoreless debut in the Turkish League, but sometimes you have to pay attention just in case something semi-newsworthy happens.

Rex Ryan Barks On Defense
Rex Ryan's defense is hardly a statistical embarrassment, but the Jets coach delivered a message this week that hit home with a unit that ranks in the top five in total defense, rush defense and points allowed: It's not good enough.
"It's a little embarrassing being where we are right now," Ryan said Wednesday.
Talk about high standards.
Only two teams have allowed fewer points than their 150. The Jets are fifth in rush defense (89.6 yards) and second in yards per carry allowed (3.4).

Brandy robbed on "DWTS"?
Brandy thinks it's an "outrage" that Bristol Palin will compete in the "Dancing with the Stars" finale over her.
The singer was shockingly eliminated from the ABC dancing show on Tuesday after being at the top of the leader board for several weeks. She was voted off in favor of the ex-Alaska governor's daughter, a notorious leader board bottom feeder.
Though Brandy initially cried upon hearing the results, she spoke her mind on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" after the show.
"Earlier tonight our next guest was a victim of what can only be described as hurricane Bristol," the host quipped.
Foxy Brown Accused of Literally Showin Her Ass
Rapper Foxy Brown Tuesday vowed to fight charges that she mooned her Brooklyn neighbor and shouted obscenities at her.
"We will fight this," Brown said after her lawyer refused to accept a plea deal in the case and demanded a trial during a Brooklyn Supreme Court hearing.
The hotheaded rapper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was arrested in July and is accused of shouting "Kiss my black a--" at neighbor Arlene Raymond when she ran into her on a Prospect Heights street.
Brown then exposed her behind to Raymond, according to a police report.

My Jets Keep on Winning!!!
CLEVELAND -- To imagine the New York Jets being winless in their past four games is not a stretch.
There was the pass interference call on Mark Sanchez's fourth-down desperation heave with 76 seconds to play against the Denver Broncos in Week 6. The Jets scored a touchdown one play later to win 24-20.
There was the embarrassing home shutout loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 despite having a bye week to prepare.
There was the fortuitous sequence of events -- defensive breakdowns, wacky play-calling, a senseless late-hit penalty -- that helped the Jets force overtime and edge the Detroit Lions in Week 9.
Jayz Speaks on Life as A Child
In this exclusive excerpt, the notoriously private megastar and businessman offers a rare and honest glimpse into his life, from growing up in Brooklyn to building an empire.
My father was crazy for detail. I get that from him. Even though we didn't live together after I was nine, there are some things he instilled in me early that I never lost. He'd walk my cousin B-High and me through Times Square -- this is when it was still known as Forty Deuce -- and we'd people watch. Back then, Times Square was crazy grimy. Pimps, prostitutes, dealers, addicts, gangs, all the s--- from the seventies that other people saw in blaxploitation flicks, Manhattan had in living color.
Amare Rips Teammates
Amar'e Stoudemire fired his sneaker against a water cooler in a fit of rage Sunday night. The Knicks' $100 million man then sat motionless, ice packs on both knees and a look of disgust on his face.
Stoudemire, coincidentally enough, is using the locker stall that once belonged to Patrick Ewing, and there were many times when Ewing felt the same physical and emotional pain. The one difference, of course, is that Ewing experienced these moments in May and June. Not in mid-Nov.ember.

DIDDY MAD AT JAY ELECTRONICA?
There is a song with Jay-Z and Jay Electronica called “Shiney Suit Theory.” I wonder what that means?! From what I understand, Jay-E said he went with Jay and not Diddy for his creative freedom.

Falling Asleep on The Road???
Two out of every five drivers say they've fallen asleep behind the wheel at some point, and more than a quarter of drivers responding to a survery admit being so sleepy that they've had trouble keeping their eyes open while driving in the previous month, according to a new study by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.
Researchers also found that one in 10 people reported falling asleep while driving within the past year. The study was based in part on telephone surveys of 2,000 U.S. residents ages 16 and older last spring .
"I think the biggest mistake people make is that they underestimate how tired they are and they overestimate their ability to deal with it when they are driving," said Peter Kissinger, president and CEO of AAA Foundation, the research affiliate of AAA.
Police Quotas are Real
The NYPD says there's no such thing as a ticket quota, but memos posted at a Brooklyn stationhouse say otherwise.
Two notices obtained by the Daily News clearly spell out how many moving-violation summonses cops should be handing out.
The memos were posted in a roll call room for the stationhouse of the crime-ridden 77th Precinct, which covers Crown Heights and Prospect Heights.
The one for the week of April 5 to April 11 began, "Good day we need the following" - then gave the number of tickets to give drivers for cell phone, seat belt, double-parking, bus stop, tinted window and truck route violations.
The notice instructed officers to hand out the summonses at accident-prone locations and specified five intersections.
A memo for Oct. 18 to Oct. 24 also itemized the number of summonses in the six moving-violation categories.
For example, it said the precinct needed to tally 75 summonses for talking on a cell phone while driving, and 50 seat belt violations.

Bacon Lovers Dream "SODA"
Does the thought of bacon soda turn your stomach? Wait until you try it.
A parade of New Yorkers grimaced and retched after sips of the pig-inspired pop unveiled by Jones Soda Co. - or just at the sound of it.
"That tastes disgusting," griped Tyrone Wallace, 26, of Brooklyn. "It made me want to throw up."
Jones boasts that its bacon soda is vegetarian friendly and kosher. Those who tried it said it tastes like swill.
Half of more than 40 people approached refused the taste test outright.
"You are supposed to eat bacon not drink it," snapped Arlette Cepeda of the Bronx.

Christine O'Donnell thinks her lack of GOP support cast a spell on her bid to win Delaware's Senate seat.
The day after her double-digit loss to Democrat Chris Coons, the Tea Party darling and one-time wanna-be witch said she wished the state and national Republican party backed her more enthusiastically during the campaign.
"I think the only thing that really would have made a difference is if the Delaware GOP had unified," O'Donnell told "Good Morning America." "Unfortunately, that still hasn't happened."
"If we had done that in Delaware, I think there would have been a drastically different outcome," she said.
Even the backing of Tea Party giant Sarah Palin couldn't propel O'Donnell beyond her shocking upset in the GOP primary in September. However, Palin never appeared with O'Donnell in Delaware in the race's final weeks.

T.I. Needs a Personal Assistant. "to carry his stash"
FORREST CITY, Ark. -- The rapper T.I. has reported for a second time to a federal prison to serve time for a weapons violation.
The 30-year-old T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, showed up shortly at the gates of the Forrest City low-security prison, traveling in an entourage of two black Chevrolet suburbans.
Harris served about seven months in the Arkansas prison in 2009 before he was released last December on probation. Last month, a federal judge sentenced him to serve another 11 months in prison for breaking his federal probation after he was arrested on Sept. 1 in Los Angeles on drug charges.
Prosecutors in Los Angeles say they won't file a felony drug charge against the rapper.
Randy Moss "SMH"
This is getting just comical, looks as if the executives and NFL personnel have no clue what they are doing. Now they are just giving players away to save their own asses. Brad CHILDress did some real soft bitch made shit. Now I don't agree with Randy Moss's diva ass ways, but you don't throw him under the bus for being honest. The truth is CHILDress if you had a set of nuts you wouldn't have all these issues. Randy hasn't been in Minny for about 7 yrs and still has done more for that organization than you. With that said "DINO who is your team now" and yes Brad CHILDress I will be blogging about your bitch ass when Brett throws you under the bus, and when you get the ax..

The Real King of The Jungle
Three lions proved who's at the top of the food chain when they pulled an inebriated worker who was taunting them into their enclosure and devoured him before his horrified friend, authorities said.
Jan Bredenhand, who had been working as the restaurant manager for the Addo Croc and Lion near Port Elizabeth, South Africa, for just one month, returned from an all-night party Sunday morning and hopped on a gate around the lions enclosure when he was attacked.
A witness told police that the 30-year-old and one of his friends provoked the lions with loud taunts, South Africa's Daily Dispatch reported.
