Wealthy Whites Wildin "Hampton" Shoot out

A bodyguard to the stars in the Hamptons was killed early Friday after a bizarre shootout over a contest at a Halloween costume party, the Daily News has learned.
Carlo Petrusa, 64 - who was hired to protect celebs such as singer Fergie, supermodel Niki Taylor and publicist Lizzie Grubman - was one of two people shot after a fight erupted between two contestants at Dream Night Club in Hampton Bays about 3:45 a.m., cops and friends said.
"It was a horror to find out he got shot," Petrusa's longtime pal Richie Alfaro told The News.
"It's very quiet over here this time of year," said Alfaro, 71.
Petrusa - a retired Queens Supreme Court captain - died from his wounds hours later at Brookhaven Hospital.

The brawl began when two costume-clad men - one dressed as a cave woman - began fighting in the club. Others joined in the melee, and the rowdy crowd spilled out the front door, police said.
One of the men in the group - dressed as a character from the 1995 flick "Dead Presidents" and wearing all black with a painted white face - went to his car, grabbed a pistol and opened fire at the entrance to the club, striking Petrusa and wounding Shawn Badgett, 35, police said.
Badgett - who is out on bail after being collared last year for running a multimillion-dollar heroin ring - was hosting the event. He was treated and released from the hospital.
The gunman and the two men who started the scuffle fled the scene and were still at large last night, cops said.
Alfaro said he had enjoyed a nice meal with Petrusa just hours before the fatal shooting. "We had lunch at Rendezvous in Riverhead," he said. "We were celebrating my birthday."jkemp@nydailynews.com
